Caricatures at Stuart's 21st Birthday

I enjoyed adding to the good cheer at Stuart's 21st. I even got tears (of joy) from the one couple - a caricaturist's favourite. A little endorsement from Stuart's mom, Thank you so much for making Stuart's birthday special!! I was a bit nervous as I thought people might be a bit shy to have their caricature drawn but there was a lot of excitement and everybody loved it!!

They were 2 heady days of drawing. I drew close on 70 caricatures on both days. Here are my favourites of Saturday's efforts.

Superhero caricatures for Nedbank Conference

This was a unique idea where staff had their pictures taken as they came in and had to choose a superhero from a list. The pics were loaded up onto a website and Peter and I drew everybody from the website as a superhero while they were busy at the conference. And then they got the surprise caricatures at the end. There were a lot to get through so there wasn't any time for shading or colour. I think there are so many ideas to be had incorporating caricatures.

Surprise Wedding Caricaturist

This time I was a surprise gift from Cheryl, the mother of the groom. A thoroughly enjoyable affair at Memoire in Muldersdrift.

Hoërskool Helpmekaar caricatures

I've come a long way since caricaturing my teacher's at school. This was a grand affair at Randlords in town.

Renault Truck Launch caricatures

It was a good day drawing Frenchmen and locals at Renault's new truck launch. And interesting to be working alongside other caricature artists. Tres Bien!
